Public Service Announcement:  Ok, here we go!  Down goes Brodeur!  Down goes Brodeur!  He is beaten!  Who woulda thunk it?  Not my boy Blue, I can tell you that.  The Carolina Hurricanes thunked it.  The Carolina Hurricanes own Martin Brodeur.  Who owns da Chiefs?  The Carolina Hurricanes own Martin Brodeur in crunch time.  Crunch and munch time.  The Hurricanes own Brodeur in roundhouse punch time.  Like my main man Bruce Lee always says, “Take things as they are.  Punch when you have to punch.  Kick when you have to kick.”      

Last night, the Hurricanes punched when they had to punch.  They kicked when they had to kick.  Last night, Jussi Jokinen scored with one minute and twenty seconds left on the clock.  Last night, Jussi Jokinen scored to tie it up.  Tie it up before Eric Staal’s winner winner chicken dinner.  Hooray Hurricanes!

Big deal you say?  Who cares you say?  I say that makes the third time that the Hurricanes won a playoff game against Martin Brodeur and the Devils in which they trailed in the final two minutes.  El Diablo!  Dios Mio!  I say the others were Game 5 of the first round in 2002 and Game 2 of the Conference Semis in 2006.  I say no other team has won a playoff game against Brodeur in which they trailed in the last 2 minutes of the third period.  No other team.  Ever. 

I also say none of it matters.  I also say the Big Bad Bruins crush the Hurricanes.  Carolina may own Brodeur, but Martin Brodeur is no Tim Thomas.  Ha ha ha!  Roll Bruins, roll!
