Diamond David Wright

Diamonds are forever.  They are all I need to please me.  They can stimulate and tease me.  They won’t leave in the night.  I’ve no fear that they might desert me.  -Shirley Bassey

Public Service Announcement:  Ok, here we go!  Just a little quick one.  Just little quick fun.  Here we come on the run with a burger on a bun and a dab of coleslaw on the siiiiide.  All I’ve been hearing on NY sports talk radio these days is, “Who can we get for David Wright?”  All I’ve been thinking is, Ricky Pitino got it right.  Sports talk radio is the fellowship of the miserable.  What are people thinking?  Diamond David Wright just went 2-for-3 last night.  Diamond David Wright has  just hit safely in all ten games for the Mets this season.  This is the guy you wanna run out of town?

Know this Mets fans, Wright started last season by getting hits in each of the Mets’ first fourteen games.  He’s the first player in Mets history to start two different seasons with hits in each of the team’s first 10-or-more games.  Only two other Mets did that once.  Once!  You shouldn’t kick me in the balls, Mrs. Kelly.  My sister kicked me in the balls once.   Once!  Only Darryl Strawberry  and Nolan Ryan’s boy Robin Ventura did it once.   Be careful what you wish for.

Public Spectacle

Peace out homies.  Six two and Even!

    (EFF) Derrick Rose Says:

I take it your watching? the difference between Rose and Gleason is that Rose can be a factor in this series and gleason had his 15 minutes of fame and will now fall into obscurity. So I guess I win! Ha HA !!

    (EFF) Derrick Rose Says:

I will leave you alone now to write this one up. (Diamond Derrick?)

really? makes no sense to me. Wright is a .309 hitter through four-plus seasons, with a 30-homer, 113-RBI average per season. His.300 batting average with runners in scoring position is none too shabby. David Wright is the face of the Mets’ franchise and should be for the next fifteen years,.
