Sports talk radio is the fellowship of the miserable. What are people thinking? Diamond David Wright just went 2-for-3 last night. Diamond David Wright has just hit safely in all ten games for the Mets this season. This is the guy you wanna run out of town?
Know this Mets fans, Wright started last season by getting hits in each of the Mets’ first fourteen games. He’s the first player in Mets history to start two different seasons with hits in each of the team’s first 10-or-more games. Only two other Mets did that once. Once! You shouldn’t kick me in the balls, Mrs. Kelly. My sister kicked me in the balls once. Once! Only Darryl Strawberry and Nolan Ryan’s boy Robin Ventura did it once. Be careful what you wish for.
