Grizzlies 89  Pistons 84:  Free at last!  Free at last!  Thank God Almighty, Darko’s free at last!  Darko Milicic played ninety-six games without a double-double during his lackluster three seasons with the Pistons.  Darko Milicic has now posted twenty-two of them since leaving them three years ago.  He got another one last night.  Got one against his old team.  He just became only the second former Pistons player with a double-double against Detroit this season.  Just him and Mehmet Okur.  Just him and his horsey and a quart of beer.

Lakers 107  Mavericks 100:   Kung Pau!  Enter the fist.  I’ll kill him.  I’ll kill him dead.  Like with, with a, rock or something.  Kung Pau killed them yesterday.  Killed them with the rock yesterday.  Yesterday, Pau Gasol killed them with the rock shooting 10-for-10 from the field in the first half.  That kind of shooting is special even when you wear a Lakers uniform.  Over the last ten seasons, the only other Lakers player to make his first ten or more field-goal attempts in a game was the Mamba himself back in 2000.  Pau’s a man, too, you know.  He go pee pee standing up. 

Islanders 4  Blackhawks 2:  Awww, you broke your cherry.  Peter Mannino broke his cherry.  Isles goaltender Peter Mannino made his NHL debut last night.  Peter Mannino stopped forty of forty-two shots in his NHL debut last night.  Big deal you say?  Who cares you say?  I say, over the last ten seasons, the only other goaltenders to make at least forty saves in winning their first career start were Johan Hedberg of the Penguins and Roberto Luongo of the Islanders.  Now just remember Peter, never rat on your friends…and always keep your mouth shut.
