Reveille

Knicks 123  Pacers 119:  Yes, yes, it was Big Nate’s big night.  Forty-one big points.  One big steal for the big winner winner chicken dinner.  I know.  But here at Josh Q. Public, we are unabashed David Lee fans.

Last night, David Lee had twenty points.  Last night, David Lee had thirteen rebounds.  You know what that makes boys and girls.  That makes a double-double toil and trouble.  That’s what that makes.  It also makes his 20th consecutive double-double toil and trouble.  Know this sports fans:  over the last seventeen seasons only one player has had twenty consecutive double/doubles within one season.  Only one.  Only Kevin Garnett.  My man KG had thirty-three straight to end the 2005-06 season.  So yes, Big Nate had a big night; but, David Lee had an historic one.

Nets 98  76ers 96:  By now, you’ve all seen this:

That was the second basket at the buzzer that turned a loss into a win for Devin Harris this season.  He also did it at Indiana.  Only one other player has more than one game-winning basket at the buzzer this season.  Only Brandon Roy.  How about that?

Louisville 76  Georgetown 58:  Big East basketball baby!  Where the men are men and the games matter.  This game mattered all right.  With the win last night, the Cardinals sit in a four way tie atop the conference.  With the loss last night, the Hoyas all but lost any chance to get invited to the dance without winning the Big East Tourney.  March Madness is coming.  Get your popcorn ready!

Peace out homies.  Six two and Even!
