Say my name, say my name. You actin’ kinda shady. Ain’t callin me baby. Better say my name. -Destiny’s Child
Public Service Announcement: Ok, here we go! Javid Best we’ve heard of. Jaquizz Rodgers we’ve a heard a word of. Even Jonathan Dwyer has been inferred of. But Ralph Bolden? Ever grateful, ever true, thus we raise our song anew. Of the days we’ve spent with you, all hail our own Purdue! All hail Ralph Bolden. All hail the nation’s leading rusher. Last season, Bolden rushed for just 28 yards total. This season,he’s a world beater. This season, he’s burst on the scene and leads the country in rushing at 178.5 yards per game. Yowza!Ralph spurned offers from the likes of Clemson, Florida, Georgia Tech, Wake Forest and South Carolina. Spurned them all and committed to the Boilerlermakers. Hooray Boilermakers! Purdue fans couldn’t be happier. The numbers are staggering. Bolden has 50 carries, 357 rushing yards and four touchdowns, good for a 7.1 yards a carry average. How about that! He’s fast, fast enough to break away. He’s also a multi-talented back, catching three passes last week against Oregon for 52 yards and a touchdown. So in these early weeks of College Football, when you’re talking running backs, you better be talking Ralph Bolden.
