Dunleavy Fired With Dubious Distinction

Public Service Announcement:  Ok, here we go!  Just a little quick one.  A run and stick one.  Yesterday, Mike Dunleavy fired himself.  Yesterday, the Los Angeles Clippers lost their longest tenured and most successful coach in its franchise’s history.   In fact, Dunleavy is the Clipper franchise’s all-time leader in coaching wins with 215.  Dr. Jack Ramsay is second with 158.  But the Clippers all-time leader in coaching wins?  What kind of distinction is that?  Isn’t it a little like putting a silk hat on a pig.  I don’t mean disrespect, but that’s the way it is. This is a team that has made the playoffs just once in the last six seasons. Egads man. That’s not even funny. Even if Baron Davis thinks it is.
