Josh Q. Public:  Don’t turn around, uh oh.  Der Kommissar’s in town, uh oh.  -Falco

Public Service Announcement:  Ok, here we go!  The Boston Celtics.  Don’t call it a comeback!  I’ve been here for years.  Rockin’ my peers and puttin’ suckas in fear.  The Celtics have been here for years.  Haven’t put any suckas in fear for some time.  They are now.  Makin’ the tears rain down like a monsoon.  Listen to the bass go boom!  On Saturday, the Charlotte Hornets Bobcats heard the bass go boom.  The Charlotte Hornets Bobcats heard the bass go boom with a 101-78 drubbing at the hands of the best basketball team in the free world.  That win made history.  Those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it.  The Celtics learned.  They ain’t repeating nothing.  That win clinched home-court advantage throughout the playoffs.  Like there was any doubt.  That win also set the NBA record for biggest single-season turnaround.  Ever.  After going just 24-58 last year, the Celtics now boast the best overall record in the Association this year.  Yowza!  You know why.  Why the C’s are flying high.  Why they’re the apple of our eye.  Why they’re the best team money can buy.  The Big Ticket.  That’s why.  There is not one player in the league who has a more of an impact on his team than KG has.  Not one.  Deep Impact.  Oceans rise.  Cities fall.  Hope survives. KG has kept hope alive in the Hub all season.  Paul Pierce thinks so too:  “Hands down, he should have it (MVP).  You’ve gotta understand where I came from a year ago.  I couldn’t have imagined it.  The whole face of the Celtics nation turned around when the trade happened with this guy.  Everyone talks about the MVP and they talk about numbers, but this guy has changed the whole culture around here and I think that says a lot for everything.  The mentality, the day-to-day aspect…everything is changed from a year ago.”  And that’s the double truth, Ruth.  You know what else is the double truth, Ruth?  The Truth.  The Truth is another main reason the Celtics have the NBA’s best record.  With the arrival of Garnett and Sugar Ray Allen, Pierce has adjusted his game.  He does all the little things.  He plays defense.  He passes the rock.  He nails the big three.  He gets to the hole.  He draws the big foul.  He does it all.  So does Ray Allen.  We all knew he can shoot.  Lord, can he shoot.  Jesus Shuttleworth, can he shoot.  But who knew he could create off the dribble like that?  I didn’t.  There’s been the emergence of the kids.  The emergence of Rajon Rondo.   Rondo continues to draw respect not only from his teammates, but from the league as a whole.  The emergence of Kendrick Perkins.  Perk is closing in on the Celtics’ field goal percentage record for a season.   The emergence of Big Show Leon Powe.  Softest hands in the game.  And, most importantly, there’s been the defense.  Tom Thibodeau defense.  The best defensive team in basketball today.  It all adds up to the greatest turn around in history.  Turn the beat around.  Turn it upside down.  The Boston Celtics.
