It takes two to make a thing go right. It takes two to make it outta sight. Hit it! -Rob Base & DJ EZ Rock
Public Service Announcement: Ok, here we go! Just a quick little fun one. A here we come on the run with a burger and a bun one. And a dish of apple sauce on the siiiiiide! Rookie rookie, who gets the cookie? I’m gonna ask you a simple question and I want you to listen to me: Who’s the big winner here tonight at the casino? Huh? Well, actually, there’s two big winners. Two guys win.
Brennan Boesch wins. Last night, Boesch had a two-run double. Hooray Brennan Boesch! Austin Jackson wins. Last night, Jackson was 2-for-4 with three runs scored in the Tigers’ victory against the Twins. Hooray Austin Jackson! The win improved Detroit’s record to 41-34. Hooray Tigers! Bless you boys, Detroit is gonna party! Bless you boys, Tigers on fire!
That’s right sports fans, there’s a roar in ole’ Motown. Brennan Boesch is roaring with a .335 batting average. Austin Jackson is roaring with a .310 average of his own. They’re grrrreeeaaattt! So great in fact that the Tigers are the first major-league team since the 1960 Phillies to have two rookies batting .300 or higher through the club’s first 75 games of a season. Yowza! The first since Ken Walters and Pancho Herrera did it for Philadelphia 50 years ago. How about that? How about this: can there be two Rookies of the Year?
Peace out homies. Six two and Even!
