Not since the one-time star center fielder and closer for Havana’s Industriales, Kendry Morales, escaped Cuba on a boat in and landed in Miami, has there been there much excitement in Anaheim. After being outbid by the Reds for the 100 mph left-hander Aroldis Chapman, the Angels have turned their eyes to another recent defector. They have turned their eyes to 19-year-old shortstop Adeiny Hechevarria. With good rerason too, this kid can play. Feast your eyes on this:

What was I looking at? I watched a nearly 10-minute video to see one play where he ranged wide to his right only to have the batter beat his throw to first. Big deal!
