Martin Brodeur: One For The Ages

Throw another round. Sick of the ride.  It’s suicide for the other side of town when I find a way to shut ‘em down.  Shet ‘em down.  Shut ‘em, shut ‘em down.  -Public Enemy

Public Service Announcement:  Ok, here we go!  By now you all know what Martin Brodeur has done did.  You all know Martin Brodeur robbed Evgeni Malkin with a glove save in the last minute at the Igloo last night.  You know that was the 35th and final save of his 104th regular-season shutout.  You all know that broke Terry Sawchuk’s N.H.L. career mark and Brodeur is now the shutout king.  All hail the king!  Is there any goalie on the radar screen that could some day challenge Martin Brodeur’s wins and shutout record?  Not that I can see.  No other active goaltender has even half as many total shutouts as Brodeur.  Chris Osgood is second with 50.  He ain’t gonna make it.  I don’t know if anyone will.

Peace out homies.  Six two and Even!
