Ben Wallace: The New Agent Zero

Public Service Announcement:  Ok, here we go!  Ben Wallace has never been known for his scoring prowess.  He’s a defender.  A defender without ender.  A defender withouth ender winning the NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award four times.  That’s a record he shares with Dikembe Mutombo.  Maybe so, but this not scoring stuff is just getting ridiculous.  Last night Big Ben pulled down 12 rebounds in the Pistons’ win at Philadelphia.  Good for him.  He didn’t score.  At all.  Again.  Know this:  that was the fifth time this season he was scoreless in a game in which he played at least 30 minutes.  Know this too:  All other NBA players have combined to do that only six times this season.  All others combined.  Only six times.  Yikes.  And furthermore, no one but Wallace has done it more than once.  I like defense and rebounding as much as the next guy but c’mon Ben, you gotta put the rock in the hole at least sometimes.  Don’t you?
