There was a time Roy Jones Jr. was the greatest boxer in the world. But then Antonio Tarver stopped him in the second round. Then Glen Johnson knocked him out in the 9th. Then Antonio Tarver stopped him again. He won some more fights. He firied a nasty combination in the tenth that sent Felix Trinidad to the canvas. But he wasn’t the greatest boxer in the world anymore. That title went to Joe Cazalghe and is now shared between the Pac Man and the Pretty Boy. With Roy’s humiliating loss the other night to Danny Green, it is finally and indubitably, the end of an era. And what an era it was.
Peace out Roy. Six Two and even!
Need More? Boxing, Roy Jones Jr.
