Gerald Wallace: Underrated Is An Understatement

It’s highly appraised when the hell is raised, so demanding and commanding that you all stand dazed.  The unbelieving receiving prophecy so true, I cut the head off the Devil and I throw it at you.  -Run DMC

Public Service Announcement:  Ok, here we go!  I shall tell you the story of Gerald Wallace.  Historians will say I am a liar, but history is written by those who have hanged heroes.  I’ll tell you one one historian who didn’t hang a hero.  I’ll tell you one historian who got it right.  Last night, Chris Webber called Gerald Wallace the most underrated player in the NBA.  How right he is.  The guy has been in the Association for nine years now.  Nine years, yet many do not realize what an athletic freak this cat is.  Nine years, yet many do not realize that he is one of the best dunkers in the league.  Nine years, yet many do not realize how good a defensive player he is.  Nine years, yet many do not realize that he is one of the best, if not the best rebounders at his position.  Nine years, yet many do not realize that he just may be one of the best all round players in basketball.

How good is he?  I’ll tell you how good he is.  I’ll tell you last night, Crash had 31 points and 14 rebounds in the Bobcats’ win over the Cavaliers.  I’ll also tell you that came crashing on the heels of putting up 31 points and 13 rebounds in Charlotte’s win over Toronto Wednesday night.  Yowza!  Oh,and you come crash into me.  He just came crash into being the first player in the NBA this season and the first player in Bobcats history with at least 30 points and 13 rebounds in back-to-back games.  That’s how good Gerald Wallace is.  Like Bel Biv Devoe, now you now.

Public Spectacle:

Peace out homies. Six two and Even!
