Jay Cutler: Meet The New BossJay Cutler: Meet The New Boss

It’s the same old story.  Same old song and dance, my friend.  -Aerosmith

Public Service Announcement:  Ok, here we go!  Jay cutler was bad last night.  Real bad last night.  Historically bad last night.  Jay Cutler passed for 307 yards.  All well and good.  But he threw five interceptions.  But the Bears were held without a touchdown.  Told ya he was bad.  Just so you know, that makes Cutler the first player in NFL history to pass for 300 yards in a game while being intercepted at least five times and seeing his team held without a touchdown.  That’s an NFL first he can’t be proud of.  As bad as he was, Bears fans should be used to it.

Meet the new boss.  Same as the old boss.  The only other Bears player in the last 40 years to throw five interceptions in one game was Kyle Orton.  You remember Kyle.  Kyle is the man for whom Jay Cutler was traded.   Kyle was intercepted five times by Cincinnati in Week 3 in 2005.  Yes Bears fans, the more things change, the more they stay the same.

This message brought to you by: Mike Phipps, Vince Evans, Bob Avellini, Steve Fuller, Rusty Lisch, Greg Landry, Mike Tomczak, Peter Tom Willis, Will Furrer, Erik Kramer, Steve Walsh, Dave Krieg, Rick Mirer, Steve Stenstrom, Moses Moreno, Shane Matthews, Cade McNown, Jim Miller, Chris Chandler, Henry Burris, Kordell Stewart, Jonathan Quinn, Craig Krenzel, Chad Hutchinson, Sexy Rexy and Brian Griese.

Side Note:  While I’m at it, I may as well add a little insult to injury.  I may as well add this:  Two of Jay Cutler’s interceptions came in the red zone.  Cutler leads the NFL with five red-zone INTs this season, after he led the league with four last season.
