Public Service Announcement: Ok, here we go! Hockey Krishnas rejoice! It’s hockey talk! Hooray hockey talk! I’ll tell you who ain’t rejoicing. The Minnesota Wild, that’s who. Not on the road anyway. Maybe they are like jack Kerouak. Maybe they think “somewhere along the line they know there’ll be girls, visions, everything; somewhere along the line the pearl will be handed to them.” Unfortunately, they haven’t yet found that place outside of Minnesota.
The Wild have won all three of their home games this season but they’re 0-8-0 on the road following their 3-1 loss in Chicago on last night. That’s not good. Minnesota is the first NHL team to begin a season with an eight-game road losing streak since Pittsburgh did that in 1996-97. That’s not good either. And at this point, neither are the Wild.
