I need you, more than anyone, darlin. You know that I have from the start. So fill me up, Buttercup, don’t break my heart. -The Foundations
Public Service Announcement: Ok, here we go! Hockey Krishnas rejoice! That’s right, hockey talk. Hockey hockey! Krishna Krishna! Back in 2001, Ilya Kovalchuk became the first Russian ice hockey player to be drafted first overall in the NHL’s history. Ilya Kovalchuk hasn’t slowed down since. Kovalchuk is the Atlanta Thrashers captain. He is the team’s biggest star and one of the league’s top scorers. Last night, he put his 300th and 301st biscuits in the basket for his career. Hooray Ilya! Know this all you hockey pucks out there: Kovalchuk put his 300th biscuit in the basket in just his 547th game. Among the 21 other active NHL players with 300 or more biscuits in the basket, only Teemu Selanne needed fewer games than Kovalchuk. Know this too: At age 26 Ilya’s got a lot more biscuits in him.
Peace out homies. Six two and Even!
Need More? Atlanta Thrashers, Ilya Kovalchuk, NHL
