Quick Stat: Ian Desmond

Don’t get mad ’cause I’m beguilin’.  I’m off the hook so don’t bother dialin’.  -Beastie Boys

Public Service Announcement:  Ok, here we go!  Ok, back to our regularly scheduled programming.  Back to baseball.  Like my main man Rogers Hornsby always says, “I don’t want to play golf.   When I hit a ball, I want someone else to go chase it.”  Ian Desmond’s hitting the ball.  A lot of someone elses have been chasing it.  Just a fast one.  Quick fast in a hurry.  Don’t worry.  Josh Q. Public vision ain’t blury.  You know what I’m sayin’?  I’m sayin’, Ian Desmond went 2-for-4 against the Phillies last night.  I’m sayin’, he is now 10-for-17 (.588) since making his major-league debut last Thursday.  I’m sayin’, Desmond is the first major-league player in more than half a century to collect 10 hits over his first four career games.  The last player to do that was Jim Davenport for the 1958 Giants, in the team’s first season in San Francisco.  I’m sayin’, sweet sassy molassy!

Peace out homies.  Six two and Even!

Share the love baby!
