Public Service Announcement:  Ok, here we go!  If chicks really do dig the long ball, chicks dug this game last night all right.  Like my main man Babe Ruth always says, “I had only one superstition.  I made sure to touch all the bases when I hit a home run.”  Last night, Justin Morneau touched all the bases.  Last night, Matt Holliday touched all the bases.  A plethora of bases.  You told me I have a plethora and I just would like to know if you know what a plethora is.  I would not like to think that a person would tell someone he has a plethora, and then find out that that person has no idea what it means to have a plethora.  These guys know what it means.  

Last night, Minnesota’s Justin Morneau had two home runs and seven RBIs.  Last night, Oakland’s Matt Holliday had two homers and six RBIs in the A’s win over the Twins.  Last night, she said, Oh, baby, I feel so down.  See, it turns me off, when I feel left out.  Last night, Justin Morneau and Matt Holliday weren’t left out of nothin’.  Nuttin’ honey.

For those of you keeping score at home, that game was only the fourth game in major-league history in which a player on each team hit at least two home runs and had at least six RBIs.  For those of you keeping score at home, the only other pairs of opponents to do that were Rogers Hornsby (Cardinals) and Butch Henline (Phillies) in 1922, Lou Gehrig (Yankees) and Jimmie Foxx (A’s) in 1930, and Albert Belle (White Sox) and Rusty Greer (Rangers) in 1997.  For those of you keeping score at home, you just kept score of history.
