Five gears in reverse. You think I don’t know what I’m doing. Another fashionable first. Like walking down the road to ruin. -Elvis Costello
Public Service Announcement: Ok, here we go! There was a time the Houston Astros’ Carlos Lee was one of the most feared hitters in baseball. One of the most revered hitters in baseball. Paul Revered. Now here’s a little story, I’ve got to tell about a big bad bad brother you know so well. Here’s a little story about El Caballo. Giddyup! There was a time when El Caballo knocked in more runs than anybody. Anybody. Knocked in more runs in a line-up that has no one who deserves to be knocked in. Knock Knock. Who’s there? Carlos Lee, bitch! That’s who! Now? Not so much.
My good friends over at Midwest Sports Fans, made a big splash when the kinda sorta atrributed Raul Ibanez’ new found prowess at the plate to something other than hard word work and determination. I said then, and I’ll say now, we didn’t paint this landscape. We were all once believers. We sat around every Saturday morning waiting for This Week In Baseball. We studied the back of our sweet smelling baseball cards. We had faith. We didn’t do this. Like my main man Flavor Flav always says, “It was you that chose your due. You built this maze you can’t get through. I tried to help you all I can. Now I can’t do nuttin’ for you man.” So don’t come finger waggin’to us. I’m looking at you, Carlos Lee.
Public Spectacle:
Peace out homies. Six two and Even!
Need More? Carlos Lee, Houston Astros, MLB

" in a line-up that has no one who deserves to be knocked in' I take umbrige with that ! I give you Micheal Bourn batting .286, was over .300 not to long ago and a boat load of stolen bases, a Sig Hansen boat load, a boat load of 32 thefts wich leads the league and 57 runs scored wich is 8th best. Now that's the kinda guy you want to " Knock in"
he weas on the same little league team as carl crawford
Ya see, that rite there is the kinda imformation I can only get here at JQP. But do you know the name of that team?
