This Just In: Josh Johnson Is Good

No rapper can rap quite like I can.  I’ll take a musclebound man and put his face in the sand.  I’m bad!  -LL Cool J

Public Service Announcement:  Ok, here we go!  Maybe you didn’t hear about it, you’ve been away a long time.  They didn’t go up there and tell you.  They didn’t go up there and tell you this Josh Johnson character is pretty pretty pretty prettttyyyy good.  Larry David style.  How good?  Glad you asked.  Last night, Josh Johnson allowed just one earned run over 6.2 innings to record his eighth win of the season in the Marlins’ victory at Arizona.   Big deal?  So what?  I’ll tell you so what.  I’ll tell you Johnson has not been charged with more than three runs in any of his last 16 starts.  Yowza!  I’ll tell you only four other current major-league pitchers have ever fashioned such a streak during one season.  I’ll tell you Johan SantanaChris CarpenterAndy Pettitte and Dan Haren.  I’ll tell you Josh Johnson is good.

Peace out homies.  Six two and Even!
