Public Service Announcement: Ok, here we go! Say what you want about Marian Gaborik. You can say he has been limited by injuries for most of his career. You can say he has never played 82 games in a season. But I’ll tell you something else you can say about Marian Gaborik. I’ll tell you this cat can put the biscuit in the basket. Gaborik may have only played only 207 games over the last four seasons but his average of 0.59 goals per game over that span is the third-highest among players who have appeared in at least 200 games since the lockout. The only cats with a higher goals-per-game average since the start of the 2005-06 season are Alex Ovechkin (0.68) and Ilya Kovalchuk (also 0.59, but slightly above Gaborik). That’s it. That’s the list. So say want you about Marian Gaborik, but he gives you some bang for your buck.
