Griffey has been my favorite player since I was like 10 years old.. which sort of dates me... but I'll never forget getting a growth chart poster of him for my 11th birthday. Then, on my 12th birthday I got one of those awesome Rawlings gloves with the replica gold signature. He is the one and only guy who -- if he ever admitted of steroid abuse -- would absolutely crush me. It would quite possibly ruin the game for me altogether. He's like, the epitome of all that a ballplayer should be, and yes. He could've been the best to ever play the game. I should've elaborated!
