TNT, I’m Dynamite. TNT, and I’ll win the fight. TNT, I’m a power-load. TNT, watch me explode! -AC/DC
Public Service Announcement: Ok, here we go! This is a sad one. A makes me feel bad one. A makes me feel bad from here to Chad one. El Flaco Explosivo is dead. According to the Sporting News, Alexis Arguello was found dead of a gunshot wound the the chest. Just awful. Before there was Manny Pacquiao and Pretty Boy Floyd Mayweather and guys like that there, there was a guy like Alexis Arguello. A man among men. A champion among champions. A three time World Champion in three different weight classes. Yowza! Dennis Martinez may have been El Presidente, but Arguello was elected Mayor of Managua, Nicarargua’s capital city. Like my main man Lionel Hutz always says, “Homer, I don’t use the word “hero” very often, but you are the greatest hero in American history.” Alexis Arguello was a hero. Alexis Arguello will be missed.
Public Spectacle:
Peace out homies. Six two and Even!
Need More? Alexis Arguello, Boxing

[...] weren’t aware of Alexis Arguello. We like boxing and wish we would have heard of the former champ before his untimely death today. (Josh Q. [...]
Arguello was a helluva man! The wars he had with Pryor were fantastic. Neither man would give up, they both left it all in the ring. That time—-late 70s thru the mid 80s—-were the last days of the warriors of boxing. Men like Arguello, Hearns, Hagler, Duran, Benitez. Guys who were not gonna back down or take a dive.
Unlike today's businessman boxers, like Mayweather and the De La Hoya, those guys were not thinking about their next fight….they were taking care of business in the ring….one war at a time.
hagler was my favorite by far, but there was a time when arguello was the best pound for pund fighter in the world
