Blake Griffin Is Doomed

Because I’m bad, I’m bad, -come on, you know it.  You know I’m bad, I’m bad and the whole world has to answer right now just to tell you once again who’s bad.  -Michael Jackson

Public Service Announcement: Ok, here we go!  Groucho Marx once said, “I don’t care to belong to any club that will have me as a member.”  That goes double for the Clippers.  The Clippers began the 2009 NBA Draft by taking Oklahoma’s Blake Griffin.  All well and good.  Blake is, well, good.  But I would not rush to judgement just yet if I were you.  The Clippers have drafted only one future All-Star in the last 20 years.  Just one.  Just Antonio McDyess back in ‘95.  And if oyu remember correctly, the Clips immediately traded McDyess on draft night.  The last player drafted by the Clippers who represented the team in an All-Star Game was Danny Manning.  But buck up Blake, at least Manning was chosen first overall too.  There still might be hope for you afterall.

Peace out homies.  Six two and Even!
