Well you could have been anything that you want to and I can tell; the way you do the things you do. -The Temptations
Public Service Announcement: Ok, here we go! Football coach Bear Bryant once brought USC running back Sam Bam Cunningham into the Alabama locker room after a game and told his players, “This is what a football player looks like.” Well, take a look at the picture to your left. That my friends, is what a baseball player looks like. Last night, Micah Owings pitched six innings. Last night, Micah Owings allowed only two runs and was the winner winner chicken. But if this is a Micah Owings story, you know there’s gotta be more. You know there’s gotta be a home run in store. You know this guy hits bombs galore.
Last night, Micah Owings drove in three of the Reds’ four runs with a three-run ding in the fifth inning against Atlanta. Yowza! Once this list of 104 names of juicers comes out, Owings may just end up the active HR leader. Even though this was the seventh home run of his major-league career, it was only the second time that Owings won a game in which he homered. The other victory was also against the Braves, on August 18, 2007, when he went yard twice for the Diamondbacks in a 12-6 win in Atlanta. How about that?
How about this? Owings holds Georgia’s high school home run record with 69. Hee hee hee, 69. That’s good for fourth in the nation. The guy’s a sensation. More far out than the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. I like this guy Micah Owings. I like him a lot.
Peace out homies. Six two and Even!
