Royals 6  Tigers 1:  Like my main man Benjamin Disraeli always says, “Everyone likes flattery, and when you come to Royalty, you should lay it on with a thick trowel.”  I’m gonna lay it on with a thick trowel.  How can I not?  This Zack Greinke character deserves it.  Last night, this Zack Greinke character allowed a meager six hits.  Last night, this Zack Greinke character allowed a measly one run.  Last night, this Zack Greinke character earned a complete-game victory.  Hooray Zack Greinke!         

Last night, this Zack Greinke character raised his ERA to just 0.84 in ten starts this season.  If you watch Baseball Tonight, you know Greinke is only the third pitcher in the live-ball era to compile an ERA below 1.00 over his first ten starts in a season.  If you watch MLB Tonight, you know the others were Hoyt Wilhelm and Juan Marichal.  If you’ve watched Zack Greinke at all this season, you know this kid is special. 

Penguins 4  Hurricanes 1:  The second time is a charm.  After last night’s victory, the Penguins became only the second team in the last thirty years to return to the Stanley Cup Finals the next year after losing.   The second team since the Great One’s Oilers lost to the Islanders in the 1983 Stanley Cup Final only to return to beat said Islanders to win the Cup in 1984.  Will Sidney Crosby truly become the Next One?  Stay tuned.
