That’s right folks, Ichiro Suzuki just keeps on hitting. He just may be the best hitter of our lifetimes. Don’t believe me? Last night, Ichiro extended his hitting streak to twenty games in the Mariners’ 4-3 loss at Oakland. That’s the sixth hitting streak of twenty or more games in his major-league career. Know this: Over the last fifty years, the only other player with as many as six 20-game hitting streaks was Pete Rose. But unlike Charlie Hustle, Ichiro will get into the Hall. Ichiban on the charts. Ichiban in our hearts.
