Like my main man Rick Blaine always says, “Here’s looking at you, kid.” Here’s looking at Rich Harden striking out eight batters in six innings in last night’s Cubs’ 7-2 win over the Reds. Here’s looking at Harden’s three-game totals this season of twenty-six strikeouts in fifteen innings. Here’s looking at the only pitcher since 1900 to throw that many strikeouts in that few innings over a span of three starts in one season. Of all the gin joints, in all the towns, in all the world, Rich Harden walks into mine.
