Randy Johnson Turns Back The Clock

Do that to me one more time.  Once is never enough with a man like you.  Do that to me one more time.  I can never get enough of a man like you.  -Captain & Tenille

Public Service Announcement:  Ok, here we go!  Lookie lookie here.  Look who it is.  Look who’s back to his old tricks.  Look at Randy Johnson.  Check the horizontal hold and check the tint.  The man who once the most dominant pitcher in baseball is back at it again.

Yesterday, Randy Johnson was back at it again earning his first victory for the San Francisco Giants.  Back at it again combining with Bob Howry and Brian Wilson for a one-hitter.  Back at it again not allowing a hit until Augie Ojeda’s double to lead off the seventh.  Tell them goodbye.  Lon Simmons style.

That marks the fourteenth time in Johnson’s career that he’s told them good-bye through the first six innings of a game.  Big deal you say?  Who cares you say?  I say that’s twice as often as any other active pitcher has told them good-bye through six.  I say that’s the highest total for any pitcher since Nolan Ryan told them good-bye through six 31 times.  31 times!  Yikes!  You say good-bye and I say hello.  Hello hello.  Hello Newman.  Hello Randy Johnson.  Again.

Public Spectacle:

Peace out homies.  Six two and Even!

Share the love baby!
