Reveille

Padres 6  Mets 5:  Last night, the New York Mets did what the New York Mets do best.  Last night, the Mets choked one away.  Yes folks, last night the Mets lost to the Padres after taking a three run lead.  It’s already the second time during this young season that the Mets lost after leading by three or more runs.  And know this, last year the Mets lost fourteen games that they led by three or more runs.  Know this too, that tied the Detroit Tigers for the most in the major leagues.  That’s no way to win a pennant.

White Sox 3  Rays 2:  By the slim chance that John Danks is available in any of your fantasy leagues, pick him up.  Pick him up now.  In two starts this season, Danks has a 0.75 ERA.   In two starts this season, Danks has held opponents to a .122 batting average.   Big deal?  So what?  I’ll tell you so what.  I’ll tell you he’s the first White Sox pitcher to have an ERA below 1.00 with a batting average that low over the first two starts of a season since Jose DeLeon back in 1987.  In case you forget who Jose DeLeon is I’ll remind you.  Jose DeLeon was the National League strikeout champion in 1989 with the Cardinals

Blackhawks 3  Flames 2:  Martin Havlat scores the winner winner chicken dinner after he tied it up to send the game into overtime:

Peace out homies.  Six two and Even!
