Suns 117  Warriors 113:  Shaq did something last night.  Shaq did something not a whole lot of folks are able to do.  Shaq erased Wilt’s name from the record books.

Last night, Shaq Daddy and Nene played in late games.  Played in late games and took their battle for the NBA’s lead in field-goal percentage down to the final minutes of the final games on the regular season’s final day.  Yowza!  They each made five of nine shots.  You know what that means boys and girls?  That means the Big Cactus who had led coming into the day, had prevailed.  It also means something else.

It also means the tenth season in which Shaq has led the NBA in field-goal percentage.  It also means Shaq just broke the NBA record of nine seasons leading the NBA in field-goal percentage.  A record Shaq had previously shared with Wilt Chamberlain.  Hooray Shaq!

Rangers 4  Capitals 3:  If you’re talking about clutch in the NHL, you must be talking about Brandon Dubinsky.  Dubinsky’s third-period goal proved to be the winner winner chicken dinner.   Are you surprised?  You shouldn’t be.  Of his thirteen goals for the Rangers this season, seven proved to be winner winner chicken dinners.  That’s the highest percentage of game-winning goals in Rangers’ history by any player scoring 10-or-more goals in a season.  How about that?

Astros 4  Pirates 1:  It’s been a long time coming.  A long time coming for Mike Hampton.  A long time coming for the pitcher ever to win the Gold Glove Award and Silver Slugger awards in the same season.  Four years coming.  Last night, Mike Hampton threw six scoreless innings.  It had been nearly four years since Hampton had been unscored-on in a game’s first six innings.  Four years since he threw a complete-game shutout for the Braves against the Astros.  Welcome back Mike.

Peace out homies.  Six two and Even!

Share the love baby!
