Ryan Perry: Remember That Name

I had a friend was a big baseball player
back in high school.  He could throw that speedball by you, make you look like a fool boy.  -Bruce Springsteen

Public Service Announcement:  Ok, here we go!  I’ll make this quick.  I won’t hit you head over the with a stick.  Just a quick shoot down the Van Wyck.  Or Woodward Avenue.  Whatever.  Right now, Fernando Rodney is the Tigers’ closer.  Does that mean he’s going to come in every time?  Don’t be so sure.  What you can be sure of, sooner or later, the guy who will be coming in every time will be Ryan Perry.  Ryan Perry is the  prototypical closer.  He  prototypically closes with a fastball in the triple digits.  You heard?  Triple digits.  He also has what the kids and Jim Leyland like to call,  “non-shakability.”  To hell with James Bond.  Ryan Perry.  Remember that name.

Peace out homies.  Six two and Even!

Thanks for the head's up. I'll be sure to add him to my watch list for early season closer changes. With how volatile the closer market is, its always best to have a few new guys lined up.

  2. 2

put him on your scout team immediately if not sooner.
