Jay Cutler Traded

Can’t get used to losin’ you no matter what I try to do.  Gonna live my whole life thorough, loving you.  -Andy Williams

Public Service Announcement:  Ok, here we go!  By now you’ve extra’d extra’d, read all about it.  You’ve real all  about it ad-nauseum.  Read all about it without pausium.  But I’m here like Santa Clausium.  I’m here not to give you the merits or disadvantages of this trade.  I’m here to give you some fun facts.  I’m here to tell you Jay Cutler has been traded to the Bears, coming off a season in which he threw for 4,526 yards.  Only two players have changed teams after throwing for at least 4,000 yards.  Only Elvis Grbac after throwing for 4,164 yards in 2000 and only Brett Favre after having 4,155 passing yards in 2007.  How about that?

That was fun, right?  Sure it was.  Want another?  Sure you do.  It’s rare for a quarterback as young as Cutler, who will turn twenty-six this April, to change teams with as much experience as he has (9,024 passing yards).  How rare?  Glad you asked.  Only two QBs played their first game for a new team given those parameters.  Only Jeff George in 1994 (Falcons to Colts) and only Kerry Collins in 1998 (Panthers to Saints).  Now don’t say I never gave you nothin’.  And remember, never rat on your friends and always keep your mouth shut.  Here endeth the lesson.

Peace out homies.  Six two and Even!

Share the love baby!

I know Cutler is good, but dam, the Bronco's got a lot for him considering he was worthless to them at this point. From an FFL perspective, who will Cutler be throwing to?

thats the question. and they gave up 2 number ones. still, who did orton throw two last year and they missed the playoffs by this much.
