You got it. What it takes. Go get it. Where you want it? Come get it. Get involved. ‘Cause the brothers in the street are willing to work it out. -Public Enemy
Public Service Announcement: Ok, here we go! Like my main Harmon Killebrew always says, “My father used to play with my brother and me in the yard. Mother would come out and say, ‘You’re tearing up the grass.’ ‘We’re not raising grass,’ Dad would reply. ‘We’re raising boys.’” Mr. and Mrs. Sedin raised men. Last night, Henrik and Daniel Sedin each scored goals. Last night, Henrik and Daniel Sedin went over the 50-goal plateau for the season. Big deal you say? Who cares you say? So what you say? I’ll tell you so what.
I’ll tell you the last pair of brothers with a half-century of goals for one team in one season was the Stastnys, Anton and Peter. I’ll tell you the Stastnys combined for seventy-three goals for the Quebec Nordiques in the 1987-88 season. I’ll also tell you the Sedins have scored in the same game seven times this season. For those of you keeping score at home, that too is the highest total for any pair of brothers since Stastny brothers Anton and Peter scored in the same game eleven times in that 1987-88 season. I’ll tell you he ain’t heavy, he’s my brother.
Peace out homies. Six two and Even!
