Rangers 3 Devils 0: King Henrik owns Brodeur. Who owns da Chiefs? Last night, Henrik Lundqvist had quite a game. Quite a game indeed. Last night, Henrik Lundqvist stopped thirty-eight shots in his shutout win over the Devils and Martin Brodeur. That matched Lundqvist’s career high for saves in a shutout but that’s not all he did.
With the win last night, Henrik Lundqvist is now 14-2-4 with a 1.37 goals-against average in twenty regular-season games against the Door. Though Lundqvist has been in the NHL for only four seasons, he has four more wins than any other goaltender has posted against Marty. Any other goaltender. Just so you know, Ed Belfour is second with ten wins in which Brodeur was the opposing goaltender of record.
Bucks 107 Nets 78: Whatsamatta Binky? Life got you down? You’re on a little losing streak? I got just the thing. I got the New Jersey Nets. For two games in a row now, a team has defeated the Nets to end a losing streak. Last night against the Bucks (who had lost five straight) and Sunday against the Timberwolves (who had lost seven in a row). It’s the second time in the Nets’ NBA history that they’ve lost consecutive games, each coming against a team that was on a losing streak of at least five games. And you wanna be my latex salesman?
Grizzlies 114 Warriors 109:
