Carolina Hurricanes’ defenseman Anton Babchuk scored a power play goal with 6:01 left in the third period last night for the winner winner chicken dinner. Big deal you say? Who cares you say? I say Babchuk had only four goals in his first forty-eight games this season. I say he’s scored nine goals in eighteen games since then. I say that’s the highest total over that span by any NHL defenseman. Any NHL defenseman. I say that’s pretty gosh derned good.
