Public Service Announcement: Ok, here we go! The Sacramento Kings just completed their interconference schedule last night. They completed their interconference schedule by being routed by the Sixers. They’ve been getting routed by Eastern Conference teams all season. Disregarding the lockout-shortened season in 1999, Sacramento’s 1-29 mark against the East is the worst interconference record ever posted by an NBA team in one season. Ever. Sacramento’s 1-29 mark against the East, breaks the previous mark for futility set by the Clippers back in ’87. To make matters worse, they became the first team in NBA history to complete a full season without winning a home game against a team from the rival conference. To make matters worse, I don’t see them getting any better any time soon.
