Nuggets 111 Grizzlies 109: Nobody beats the Grizz! Everybody beats the Grizz. The Nuggets beat the Grizz last night. The Nuggets beat the Grizz last night thanks in large part to one Mr. Carmelo Anthony. Thanks in large part to one Mr. Clutch. Mr. Clutch is just too much. He’s got the soft touch.
Last night, Melo had the soft touch all right. Last night, Melo completed the old fashioned three-point play with 33.2 seconds left to cap Denver’s comeback winner winner chicken dinner. Melo has now made five of six field goal attempts this season in the final minute of the fourth quarter or overtime with his team tied or trailing by up to three points. That’s the best percentage in the NBA. That’s pretty clutch.
Magic 106 Bucks 80: Time is on Dwight’s side. Yes it is. Last night, Dwight Howard had twenty-eight big points. Last night Dwight Howard had twelve big rebounds and seven big assists. Twenty-eight big points, twelve big rebounds and seven big assists in in thirty-three little minutes. Yowza! The last player with that many big points, rebounds and assists in that little playing time was the Big Fundamental, who did it back in ‘04. Now that’s time management.
Blue Jackets 4 Blackhawks 3: You know what the man says about change of scenery, dontcha? Me neither. But I think it’s supposed to be good. It’s been good for Antoine Vermette. Just two weeks after being traded away from Ottawa, The Great Vermetzky scored the overtime winner winner chicken dinner. Vermette played 359 career games with the Senators without ever scoring an overtime goal. He has seven points in six games with Columbus after recording only twenty-eight points in sixty-points games with Ottawa earlier this season. See? The man was right.
Peace out homies. Six two and Even!
