Memphis Leaving Trail Of Tears In Their Wake

I hear it every night, another gun fight.  The tension mounts.  On with the body count!  -Ice-T

Public Service Announcement:  Ok, here we go!  Wooo doggie!  See our colors bright and true.  It’s fight now without a fear.  Fight now, let’s shout a cheer.  Shout for dear old Memphis U.  I’m shouting for dear old Memphis U.  I’m all abouting dear old Memphis U.  Without a doubting dear old Memphis U.  Last night, dear old Memphis U. beat Tulane 51-41.  Dear old Memphis U. has now won each of its last ten Conference USA tournament games by at least a 10-point margin.  Just so you know, that’s the longest streak of double-digit conference tournament wins since Kentucky posted a 22-game streak in the SEC  Tournament from 1946 to 1951.  Since 1951.  Yowza!

I keep hearing about UConn.  I keep hearing about Louisville.  I keep hearing about Pittsburgh, North Carolina and Michigan State.  I keep hearing about those guys there.  What about these guys here?  What about the Memphis Tigers?

I understand there’s a perception out there that Conference USA is weak.  I understand there’s a perception out there that Memphis just rolls through it like a hot knife through butter.  Like Sherman through Richmond.  Maybe so, but it does not diminish how good these Tigers are.  Theyyyyy’re great!  Until somebody beats these guys, which no one has done in twenty-three games, they’re my number one.  They should be yours too.

Public Spectacle:

Peace out homies. Six two and Even!
