Nuggets 106  Trail Blazers 90:  Melo own the Blazers.  Who owns the Chiefs?  Last night, Carmelo Anthony scored thirty-eight points against the Blazers.  He now owns a career average of 26.7 points per game in twenty games against them.  Pretty good, right?  Wrong.  It’s really good.   

That’s the fifth-highest all-time among players who’ve faced the Blazers at least twenty times.   Wanna know the other four?  Sure you do.  The other four are Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Kobe Bryant and Dominique Wilkins.  That’s a pretty good other four.  That’s a really good other four.

Rangers 4  Islanders 2:   King Henrik owns Long Island.  Last night, Henrik Lundqvist‘s 4-2 win over the Islanders marked his fifth consecutive victory at Nassau Coliseum.  He now owns a 9-3-1 record and 1.53 goals-against average in thirteen career games at the Coliseum.  The most goals Lundqvist has allowed in a game on Long Island is three, which he’s done only once.  You shouldn’t hang me on a hook, Johnny.  My father hung me on a hook once.  Once!
