The Lowly St. Francis Terriers

I have been all things unholy.  If God can work through me, he can work through anyone.  -St. Francis of Assisi

Public Service Announcement: Ok, here we go!  Oh boy.  How low can you go?  How low can you go?  Pretty gosh derned low it looks like.  I know no one not in the tri-state area and Pennsylvania really cares about the Northeast Basketball Conference.  Heck, I know no one in the tri-state area and Pennsylvania really cares about the Northeast Basketball Conference.  But still.  But still, St. Francis University lost 73-60 to top-seeded Robert Morris in the first round of the NEC Tournament.  Who cares, right?  Big deal, right?  So what, right?  I’ll tell you so what.

I’ll tell you it was the fifth consecutive double-digit-margin loss for St. Francis in that tournament, dating back to the 2003 Final.  I’ll tell you that is the longest such streak by any school in the history of the Northeast Conference tourney.  Furthermore, I’ll tell you it’s also the longest current streak of its kind for any school in any conference tournament.  Any school.  Any conference tournament.  Yowza!  Like my main man St. Francis himself always says, “For it is in giving that we receive.”  Tell that to Vince Lombardi.

Public Spectacle:

Peace out homies.  Six two and Even!

Share the love baby!
