Reveille

Magic 114  Knicks 109:  He cannot be from this world.  Because, if any human being were going to perpetrate such a fantastic hoax, it would have been me!  Otis!  My robe!  That was no hoax last night.  That was the real deal.  Dwight Howard is the real deal and he ain’t Evander Holyfield.  He’s something more.

Last night, Dwight Howard simply dominated the Knicks.  He dominated them with twenty-four points.  He dominated them with twenty-one rebounds.  That was the sixth game this season in which Howard dominated with twenty in both points and rebounds.  You know what that does?  Huh?  Do ya?  That matches the total for the rest of the league combined.  That’s what that does.  Jumpin Jehosafats!

Spurs 99  Trailblazers 84:   Tony Parker to the rescue.  Tony Parker does it again.  Last night, Tony Parker led the Spurs to their second consecutive win without Tim Duncan.  Last night, Tony Parker scored thirty-seven big points.  Two nights ago, Tony Parker scored thirty-nine big points.  Big deal?  So what?  I’ll tell you so what.  I’ll tell you  the Big Fundamental has scored at least thirty-seven points in each of two straight games only once in his NBA career.  I’ll tell you he never did it on back-to-back days.  I’ll tell you Tony Parker now joins the Iceman, George Gervin, as the only players to score thirty-seven or more points for the Spurs in each of games played on consecutive days.  Furthermore, I’ll tell you the Iceman did it seven times.  Yowza!

Red Wings 4  Sharks 1:  Rookie rookie who gets the cookie?  Ville does!  Ville’s the big winner.  Ville wins.  Last night, Ville Leino scored the winner winner chicken dinner for the Red Wings.  That makes five goals in eleven games since he made his NHL debut.   Know this, know Leino’s five goals tie him with the Stars’ James Neal and the Lightning’s Steven Stamkos for the league high over the last twenty-six days among rookies.  Welcome to the big leagues Ville.

Peace out homies.  Six two and Even!

Share the love baby!
