So if you are a racist, our friendship has got to end. And if your friends are racists, don’t pretend to be my friend. -The Specials
Public Service Announcement: Ok, here we go! You may have never heard of Shahar Peer but the United Arab Emirates has. Shahar Peer is a tennis player. Shahar Peer is an Israeli tennis player. The United Arab Emirates barred her from participating in the Barclays Dubai tournament. The United Arab Emirates feel Peer’s “presence would have antagonized our fans.” Poppycock! Poppycock and balderdash! This is an open and shut case of racism. Pure and simple. Well not so pure, but simple anyway.
Thankfully, The Tennis Channel got it right. Thankfully, The Tennis Channel announced it would not televise the tournament this week in protest. Furthermore, the Women’s Tennis Association has warned that it could consider scratching the Barclays Dubai tournament from its calendar. Good for them.
The Tennis Channel: “This is an easy decision to come by, based on what is right and wrong. Sports are about merit, absent of background, class, race, creed, color or religion. They are simply about talent.” I couldn’t have said it any better myself.
Public Spectacle:
Peace out homies. Six two and Even!
Need More? Racism, Shahar Peer, Tennis

i thought Dubai did it's own thing and were more progressive than the rest of the area. At least they should try to be considering all the foreign money pumped into the place. And though i'm not a jew, I wouldent mind being Leonardo Dicapreo for a week.
