Boston College Does It Again

I want to fly like an eagle, to the sea.  Fly like an eagle, let my spirit carry me.  -Steve Miller Band

Public Service Announcement: Ok, here we go!  Yowza, yowza, yowza!  First Boston College beats North Carolina.  Then Boston College loses to Harvard.  Then Boston College beats Duke.  Like my main man Winston Churchill always says, “It is a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma.”  For the first time in Boston College history, they beat both North Carolina and Duke in the same season.  For the first time in anybody’s history, Boston College beat North Carolina, beat Duke and lost to Harvard in the same season.  What gives?

Bob Ryan says, “It sounds so cliche-ish.”  Bob Ryan says, ”This is a bunch that really can beat anybody, or lose to anybody.”  Bob Ryan is right.  Bob Ryan loves him some Reggie Jackson.  I do too.  I love me some Tyrese Rice more.

Last night, Tyrese Rice scored his 2,000th point as a Boston College Screaming Eagle.  That put’s him up there.  Up there in the aerie.  Up there in aerie with Troy Bell, Craig Smith, Dana Barros, Billy Curley, Jared Dudley, and Danya Abrams.  But Tyrese Rice has done something those cats ain’t never done did.  Tyrese Rice beat Duke.

Now, if Tyrese Rice can beat a coupla more teams, he’s going dancing.  Look ma I’m dancing.  If Tyrese goes dancing, who knows what will happen?  Because, as you, me and Bob Ryan know, this is a bunch that really can beat anybody, or lose to anybody.
