They Dont Call Him Cleverly For Nothing

Knock me down with a feather.  Clever Trevor.  Widebrows wonder whether Clever Trevor’s clever.  -Ian Dury and the Blockheads

Public Service Announcement: Ok, here we go!  This side of the pond, we may not yet have heard of Nathan Cleverly.  Light heavyweight boxer Nathan Cleverly.  14-0 Nathan Cleverly.  We will.  Nathan Cleverly is from Wales, the said same great region that brought us Joe Calzaghe.  Cleverly was clever enough to make a point of fighting on the undercards of his fellow countryman.  That’s not all that makes this kid so clever, Trevor.

You may have heard of E=MC squared.  You may have heard if a=b and b=c then a=c.  You’re smart.   Not like everybody says.  Like dumb.  You’re smart you want respect!  Yes, you’re smart, but have you heard of this:   x2-2y+c=0?  Nathan Cleverly has

Nathan Cleverly says, “X is for speed, Y for strength and C my movement around the ring.”  Nathan Cleverly says he came up with the idea when reading about NASA’s space program for an exam.  Nathan Cleverly says, “If I get the formula spot-on, it’ll be like a nuclear reaction when I throw a punch.”  Goodness!

First Mike Tyson is writing a book and now this?  I guess they don’t call it the sweet science for nothing.  Dropping science like Galileo dropped the orange.  Nathan Cleverly aims to drop British light heavyweight champion Dean Francis tonight when the Welshman defends his Commonwealth Title.  Get your popcorn ready!

Public Spectacle:

Peace out homies.  Six two and Even!
