Reveille

Nets 114  Nuggets 70:  Punks jump up to get beat down.  The Nuggets jumped up, the Nets beat them down.  Beat them down real good like.  How good?  That 44-point margin of victory was the largest by a team with a losing record against a team with a winning record, at least 50 games into a season, since Richard Nixon’s first term as president. Let me make this perfectly clear, that last happened back in ’72.  With these Nets though, don’t expect it, or anything resembling it, to happen again any time soon.

Clippers 121  Hawks 97 :   Punks jump up to get beat down.  The Hawks jumped up, the Clippers beat them down.  Beat them down real good like.  Just like they beat the Grizz down two nights ago.  Nobody beats the Grizz!  Everybody beats the Grizz.  It’s the first time in the Clippers’ thirty-nine seasons in the NBA (they entered the league as the Buffalo Braves in 1970) that they won two straight road games, each by a margin of 20-or-more points.  How about that?

Lightning 1  Islanders 0:  Old man take a look at my life, I’m a lot like you.  No I’m not.  I can barely skate.  Gary Roberts can skate.  Last night, Tampa Bay beat the Isles with a third-period goal by 42-year-old Gary Roberts.  Big deal you say?  Who cares you say?  I say Roberts became the oldest player in NHL history to score in a 1-0 game.  I say he broke the mark set by Scott Stevens.  A relatively youthful 39-year-old Scott Stevens.  Oh, to be young again.

Peace out homies.  Six two and Even!

Share the love baby!
