I’m on my way, I’m making it. I’ve got to make it show, yeah. So much larger than life. -Peter Gabriel
Public Service Announcement: Ok, here we go! I do love me some Big Al Jefferson. Ever since he left my beloved Celtics, I’ve been all Jack Byrnes. Yup, I’ve got my eyes on him. I like what I see. I didn’t like the All Star snub, but that was another story for another day. This is a story for today. I gotta la la la la la la live for today. Big Al lives for today. Lived for today last night all right. Yes Virginia, the T-Wolves lost last night. Lost pretty good last night. Lost pretty good to the Houston Rockets last night. But don’t put the big blame on Big Al.
Lat night, Big Al threw it down your throat like Barkley. See these car keys, you’ll never get these. They belong to Big Al’s posse. Big Al had thirty-six big points. Big Al had twenty-two bigger rebounds. Big Al had the four biggest steals. How big? It’s been more than two decades since an NBA player scored at least 35 points, pulled down 20-or-more rebounds and recorded four-or-more steals in one game. Yowza! Two decades! Two decades since Charles Barkley. Two decades since the Round Mound of Rebound. Now that’s something. That’s something big.
So T-Wolves fans, when you’re done complaining about losing the Big Ticket, start watching Big Al. You’re watching history.
Peace out homies. Six two and Even!
Need More? Al Jefferson, Minnesota Timberwolves, NBA
