The only other current players with back-to-back games scoring at least thirty-two points during their rookie seasons are Grant Hill, Jerry Stackhouse and Allen Iverson. There’s your so what.
Lakers 115 Raptors 107: Kobe Bryant suffers a major let down. What? You don’t think thirty-six is a major let down? You thought I said are you all right Spider? Think again. The Mamba had exactly fifty points to encore each of the previous two games in which he scored sixty or more, both in 2007. Not last night. See? See what happens?
Big Bad Bruins 3 Flyers 1: This guy is the best hockey player you never heard of. Boston Bruins David Krejci is the best hockey player you never heard of. Last night, Krejci’s goal at 5:48 of the third period broke a 1-1 tie and sent the Bruins on their way to victory. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like…victory. It was the fifth time Krejci made the whole smell like victory. It was Krejci’s league-high fifth go-ahead goal in the third period of games this season. And know this all you Hockey Krishnas out there, know that no other NHL player has more than three such goals. David Krejci, best hockey player you never heard of.
