Mets Sign Oliver Perez

Oliver, Oliver.  What will he do when he’s turned black and blue?  He will rue the day somebody named him Ol-i-ver.  -Oliver!

Public Service Announcement: Ok, here we go!  The Mets sign Oliver Perez.  Say what you want about about Perez, but know this:  Know that he comes up big against the big teams.  In his two full seasons with the Mets, Perez has compiled a 17-7 record with a 3.22 ERA against teams that finished the season with a winning record.  His sventeen wins against teams with a winning record over the last two seasons are tied with Jamie Moyer, Ted Lilly, Jake Peavy and Chad Billingsley for the most among National League pitchers over that span.  Not too shabby.

Peace out homies.  Six two and Even!
