Steelers 27  Cardinals 23:  What a game, what a game!  The thrill, the spills, the Boss’ crotch, oh the humanity!  Another Super Bowl down to the wire.  Another Super Bowl taking us higher and higher.  Out of the frying pan and into the fire.  Sweet sassy molassy!       

For the second consecutive Super Bowl, the game-winning points were scored on a pass with thirty-five seconds to play.  Last year it was gun toting Plaxico Burress, this year it was Santonio Holmes.  Know this sports fans, over the previous forty-one Super Bowls, there had been only one game-winning TD in the final minute of play.  Only a ten-yard pass from Cool Joe Montana to John Taylor with 34 seconds to play in the 49ers’ 20-16 win over the Bengals in Super Bowl XXIII.  How about that?

How about this?  The game turner arounder, the Big Game James Harrison pick six, was the longest touchdown in Super Bowl history.  Yowza!  One yard longer than Desmond Howard’s 99-yard kickoff return against my beloved Patriots.  Now you know why this cat was chosen Defensive Player of the Year.  Now you know why folks say defense wins championships.

Wanna know why else they say it?  Huh?  Do ya?  Sure you do.  LaMarr Woodley, that’s why.  Last night, LaMarr Woodley recorded the Steelers’ only two sacks in their victory.  Big deal?  So what?  I’ll tell you so what.  I’ll tell you those two sacks gave Woodley a total of six sacks during these here playoffs.  I’ll tell you those two sacks tied him all time for sacks in one postseason.  Tied him with Richard Dent.  Tied him with Michael McCrary.  Tied him with two other men who also won championships.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are the Champeens of the World for the sixth time.  They did it how they always did it.  They did it with defense.  Defense paid for their ticket to Disney Land.  How sweet it is!
